Whistling kinda sound
Tried a serach found nothing, so dont flame plz, also dont flame about the dumb question
Anyway this stated about a week ago, i never really thought anything of it, untill my friend pointed it out. He says it sounds like a tire being deflated, but i dont think so.
Heres the problem. Whenever the car is on(EG w/ b18c1) i get this sort of strange whistle. When driving at 40mph i can hear it really good, then the second i press in the clutch the noise dies down to the point where I can't hear it at idle. My friend says CAI, but hes an idiot, its coming from in front on the driver. My guess is that it is the belt, but im not really sure, my knowledge is rather limited
. Any input?
Thanks

Yup. I have that same issue. It's the cai.Me too. You can adjust the screw on your TB, this may help it go away if you dont like the sound.
Huh? more info ----
CAI's whine ---- but hey sure as hell dont whistle or moan --- I have a whistle/monaing sound that sounds like the tires ---- I get it at 40mph also --- are these issues the same?

replace it with the factory plastic piping --- yeah that'll work -- what the hell are you thinking --- how would you make an AEM long cold air intake (w/ valve) attach to that OEM plastic hunk o ****
i don't think he meant attach your cold air you your OEM intake . i think he's talking about replacing the metal pipe with the stock rubber/plastic "hunk o ****", as you put it.
after experimentin today --- there is no way that sound is the CAI --- I am convinced it is my rear camber effecting my tires and I am getting whistling sounds at certain speeds (15,40 and about 80mph) ---- also, pressing my clutch does not effect the tone of the sound ---- maybe my sound and yours are not the same BUT mine is definately not CAI.

Would this screw be in the same place for a 97 civic coupe? If not, where is it?Thanks.
n/m. I think I found it. It is facing upwards and looks like a flathead screw, but it has some little dip in the center. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thankx.
