Anyone know where I can get the small plastic axle hole caps for trannies?

I want to polish my tranny this winter, but want to be sure no cleaner/compound will get into the diff.

take the trans apart and remove the guts. that way it will be easier for you to polish it since it will be in 2 Pisces and be alot lighter.

Try looking at a couple domestic auto parts stores for "rubber expandable replacement freeze plugs".

I haven't seen any for quite some time (I'm old), but what they are is a rubber plug that can be expanded by tightening a nut that is on it. You would use one when a freeze plug came out and it was located where you couldn't hammer in a new one without taking the engine out. They were available in a bunch of diameters.
