i have a 91 jdm ef hatch imported from japan. the steering rack is starting to go so i need a new one but am curious if anybody knows a company i can order one from. let me know some good news lol. heres some pics of it for ***** and giggles.

Thats the same car that was floating around NC for awhile, right? Used to have a LS in it.. If so, its a conversion, not a real ef9.

maybe send it out and have it rebuilt? that may be easier and cheaper than sourcing out a beat up old used one shipped from japan?

Nice car...Maybe contact a engine importing company like jdm engine depot...they maybe have one

 

A rebuild kit from a ef 4 door fits. You just need to get someone with the right tools to change out the long tube seals.

All the gaskets are the same, just flipped over.

Tell this to any steering rack rebuilder and they can handle it. They will look at you funny, but they can do it.

Mine still leaks out of the tube because I didn't couldn't get off that one seal, and mine is a pain in the *** to take out with a transfer case in the way.
