Icon6 SiR Cluster Problems!!

Recently purchased a SiR cluster for my 92 Si. After hooking it up and before mounting it back into place I wanted to make sure everything worked fine. Turn the key and instantly the needle for tr km/h gauge went to 37kmh even though I was sitting still. All of the other gauges operate and work correctly. Any ideas on what this might be caused by? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Could be a dud.. Ask if they will let you exchange it if you bought from a company.

Sounds like someone had it apart and put the needle on without the car running. Take it for a little drive and see if it operates right. If so take the little plastic "window" off and hook it all up and set it in place with the car off. Pull the needle for the speedo off. Start the car and then carefully put it back on so it is reading 0 like it should.
