Where to Buy Nuts and Bolts
I have been looking around at some auto shops (Kragen, Pep Boys etc.) and also Home Depot for some auto grade coated nuts and bolts. Apart from silly prices (Pep Boys charge $2 for a bolt that can be bought in the same grade for 29c in Home Depot) very few of the bolts are graded (8.8, 10.9) and none is coated.
Where can I buy high quality nuts 'n' bolts? And don't say 'the dealer' - I am not keen on paying $5 for a 25c bolt.
TIA

Try finding a marine supply, fasteners shop, or the like in the phone book. I needed some metric screws for the body shop, the marine fasteners shop had tons of them for less than a buck each, actually $1 for a bunch.

call up MR. Metric in san jose they got anything that is metric or Orlander Company Inc. in sunnyvale off commercial and kifer, sorry but i don't know their number, just call up 411
trust me, Mr. Metric doesn't have everything. i was looking for tranny bolts for my b16a and they dont carry the size needed. your best bet would be the junk yard or the dealership.
