Default When do you need a larger fuel pump?

OK. Since I will be rebuilding shortly (with the mods listed in my sig), will I need a new fuel pump?
If not, when do you know that you need one?

Larger than the 255? You won't need a bigger pump than that unless you are making at least 350whp.

well.. will i need the 255.. or will the stock hold up ???

or should i get the 255.. just for future upgrades?

you know you need a fuel pump when your starving your motor under heavy loads; When you are jacking up your fuel pressure to extreme levels and/or the fuel pressure starts to drop off under load, you need a pump. When you build a motor, it can't hurt to get a 255LPH joint. You want to have a happy compromise between injector pulsewidth and fuel pressure so the best bet would be to have too much fuel and tune it out instead of too little and trying to bandaid the situation with high FP, unecessarily using oversized injectors, etc...
