What's wrong here??
I was wondering, one of my cars (92 EG stock) drives different from my other car (96 EK). When I go to shift gears and step on the clutch with the EG, the clutch pedal almost has to be released all the way before it catches. Is that a sign of a worn clutch? Ohh one more question, The stupid throttle cable is all wacked out. When I pop the hood and rev the engine where the tab thing is, the stupid cable pops loose. How come it doesn't pop loose when I am driving it? Does anyone think there's a bend on it somewhere along the wire causing it to pop out? Alright last question, my brakes squeek like crazy. I just replaced the rotors with slotted/drilled rotors and it stopped for like 3 weeks. Now it's squeeking again. The pads looked kinda funny cuz aren't they supposed to be evenly flat all the way across? Well, the pads seem to have like a little bit more padding (about 1/16") on the outter edge of them. Anyone able to help? Thanks.
Alright.
1st question: Is it a cable clutch, or hydraulic? If it's hydraulic, it's most probably getting worn out. If it's cable, you could try adjusting it down a little.
2nd question: I don't understand it, so I don't know
3rd question: I still don't know.
4th question: No it's normal that they'll be showing additional wear on one side, especially on a single piston configuration. Don't worry about it.
Hope it helps a little.

Alright that helps a little but why do my brakes squeek? And about the throttle cable, how it loops around the round end, when i gas on it from the engine bay(not from the pedal inside the car), the wire pops outta the round end. One time before i owned it, i did that and i thought the stupid motor blew but my friend really just turned off the engine instead.
Throttle cable comes loose because when you open the butterfly manually, the cable isn't being pulled down so that it's tight. When you step on the pedal, the cable moves and is tightened as the butterfly opens. Hard to explain, hope you can figure out my post. Oh, and you're probably on your stock 11 year old clutch, mine does that too cuz it's pretty worn.
Didn't read the last question til now. Get a die grinder and sand down the edges of your pads. Sand them down at an angle. I work at a shop and whenever a customer comes in with rotors that need to be replaced but they have no money, I always have to sand the new pads down so that they don't squeak.
*Note: If the squeaking is only happening on one side, I would strongly recommend checking your wheel bearing.

I'm not sure but since you said that, dang this car must be on it's stock clutch. I just got it not too long ago from a friend who bought it used too. thanks for the info
What's a die grinder look like? can you describe it? Or can i just use like a regular grinder and sand at an angle?

is the metal tab that tells you when your pads are worn down, touching the rotor? if not you can use some of the stop squeak lube, haha, i don't remember what it's called, you put it on the back of your brake pads and it controls the squealing. is there too much slack in your throttle cable? try tightening it.

Kool thanks guys, i'll look for that tomorrow. How does it work though, by putting it on the back of the pads? does that like sorta provide extra pressure or something?
