I have a 88' civic dx with a 92' ls motor in it. Its almost stock mods only consist of Air intake, Header to tip exaust, and Centerforce dual friction clutch. When I first done this swap I had a 91' s1 tranny and on the highway my car would peg the speed-o and The only reason I know how fast it would go is because my friend would run behind me in his car and keep track of how fast I could go and I use to top out at some where around 145mph. I dont know whats up with my new tranny its a 91' s1 I thought it was the same as the other tranny but with the new one I bearly make it to 120 and then it tops out. It climbs alot better than the old tranny but tops out 25mph sooner. Does any one know of another s1 tranny that might have had lower gear ratios? Or does any one know why this could be?
