What's needed for 9k?
What's included in the valvetrain? I wanna be able to take my B16A up to 9k rpms safely but don't know upgrades and in what order I should do them in. Can I get some sort of help?
There's no such thing as a titanium valvespring, even though Jesse says grace to them in F&F. A B16 with its bottom end in good shape can rev to 9k fine with ITR outer valvesprings and Portflow inners. Titanium retainers help too. But, you aren't going to need to rev that high unless you're running some pretty aggressive cams.

titanium valves springs do exist , but they are like a grand. But you Defenitly need the titanium retainers, stronger valve springs(crower, skunk, jun,or portflow inners and itr outers)), and some more agressive cams(skunk2 II, jun3's,toda c's) and your ecu chipped of course. I have also seen a motor revved to 8500 rpm, and it broke a retainer, droped the valve......and now the piston has a hole in it, and the head is toast!!!
