Default what's the disadvantage of this? exhaust, muffler concern

can anyone tell me if there's disadvantage of running a 2.5" high flow cat, 2.5" custom piping all the way to a 2.25" inlet twin loop exhaust? i'm asking because i just did a swap, i have a twin loop exhaust already and i'm planning on doing a buildup. Is there any disadvantage to taking it down to 2.25 at the back? i got the twin loop for really cheap. thanks it's an OBX twin loop muffler.it's a replica of the mugen one ofcourse.

well what type of engine do you have... think if you don't have alot more "extra air" coming in, then your not gonna create that much more "extra exaust"

what type of engine.. and what type of mods

wow a response from someone close to home..thanks man, it's a b16, but i'm planning on building a b20 bottom end and the b16 head. i was told do ur exhaust with future plans in mind, instead of having to spend a **** load of money again to have ur exhaust done. it's gonna be 2.5" all the way to the muffler..would the 2.25" muffler stiffle it? it's a twin loop, so i'm assuming it flows good.
