Whats the difference between a D16y7 and D16y8?
What is the differnece between these two engines? There both 1.6 L and SOHC. Is there a way I can turn my D16y7 into a Vtech without having to swap the engine? I'm the biggest Noobie and apologize for the retarded questions. I looked at engine schematics and they look the same. Can someone tell me the difference and tell me how I can make my engine into Vtech? Thanks

Swap the heads intake and exhaust manifolds and ECUs- the blocks are basically the same- the Y8 has the converter under the car and the Y7 has the converter off the exhaust manifold. The intake manifold is completely different.
