Default Whats the diff between Pivot Mount and Ball Joint camber kits???

Okay, one groupbuy is selling both for a 90-97 accord application for the same price. What are the differences between the two? Pros and cons?

and would one have better clearance than the other? Many hondas seem to have clearance issues and banging w/ camber kits.

the balljoint type, for example skunk 2, would less likely have clearance issues since the upper control arm is stationery and the only thing moving is the knuckle. if your camber or the ride height isn't too extreme, clearance wouldn't be an issue.

as for the pivot mounts, i'm assuming the anchor bolt type of camber kits, these kits are more likely to have clearance issues because it moves the entire upper control arm out to correct negative camber. if your car is too low, it will definitely rub the inner fender well. it happened to me with the sprint camber kits.

Are there any cons to using the ball-joint type? How would the general adjustment range vary for both types? And is there any particular reason the pivot one seems much more common?

from those pictures, are you referring to JUST the balljoint itself as a camber correction kit? because the one i'm referring to is an entire upper control arm that adjusts from the balljoint where you can slide the knuckle back and forth

for example:

well, if that is the type of camber kit you're referring to, the only con i could think of is, installation. it is little more time consuming to install. i believe the max adustment for both types is 3 degrees: 1.5+ and 1.5-

and i think the pivot ones are more common (if you're referring to the anchor bolt type) is because it is cheaper since it isn't an entire control arm.

idunno, I just saw it on sale on a groupbuy, both are $165, which is also where i got those pictures from. Not sure if they are the actual product, but its a Progress Group for 90-97 accord.
