I know this has been covered before but i have researched and couldn't find something dead on. My situation is that i have a GSR Skunk2 Mani and i'm looking to get a non GSR tb because i like my bay nice and clean. I'm having a hard time finding a ITR TB so i was wondering if a OBD2 LS throttle body would suffice or maybe a HSeries TB? really on a tight budget so jsut keeping it stock now.

 

the ls will fit. gsr and ls have the same size tb anyway.

 

Sweet. h series wwill fit but will it run fine?

That's the list of tb's that should fit. The only difference will be the FITV; obd2 tb's won't have it. Any of those tb's will work fine, assuming the TPS isn't broken or out of adjustment.

 

Alright, so if the FITV is there, my ECU won't look for it so i should be fine right?

 

The FITV is thermally controlled, has nothing to do with ecu, you mean the IACV?


It doesnt matter if yours has a FITV or not, my obd2 LS throttle body doesnt have one, just has a coolant in/out line instead that you run the old fitv lines to and from.

 

Alright, I picked up a H22 inatke mani that cmae with the TB, the guy said it was from a Type SH, but for some reason, the TB looks smaller than my stock GSR one.

 

The H22 and GSR TB's are both the same size, 60 mil.
