What is a stroker kit? What does it do? does all the equipment in a stroker kit just go into the motor or does the motor need to be worked on?

stroker kits consist of all inside your bottom end but has longer stroke.most stroker kit just go in with no work done to the block but some might need boring or even resleeve.it increases your stroke and gain more power..thats what i understand .may be some one else can explain better.

A motor can be stroked or de-stroked. Stroking ups the displacement. De-stroking lowers the displacement (smaller volume of cylinder). Different stroker kits require different things to be done to the block. Crowers B16 to 2.0L stoker kits say to remove the oil squirters because they get in the way. Also when stroking a motor the usual machine work has to be done like bore/hone the cyls., and deck the block. Usually stroking a motor throws the rod stroke ratio out the window at least it does on a B16 to 2.0L. De-stroking a B20 by using a B17 crank helps with the R/S ratio. A good R/S ratio keeps your rings any cyls in better condition if you want it to last a long time (street engine not race).

Jun Stroker kit specs:
B16B/B18C 82.0x94.0mm 1029M-H002 2.0L (Shaved Crankshaft)
I don't know if it needs to be bored. Probably will though.
Jun will have more tech info than I can provide.
I'm sure they will assemble you a shortblock for the right price.

looking at the specs 82.0 needs resleeving i wouldnt recommend boring to 82.0 mm from an 81mm stock sleeve.
