I think they are eagle rods and 81mm 9.0:1 Comp JE Pistons.

So whomever you bought your swap from never mentioned that there were aftermarket rods and pistons in it? Odd every seller I know of would definately mention that and the price of the block would be a little more because of it. If I were you I'd definately run the VIN and see if it's stolen.

It was a very long prosses to get the engine....1st I had the wrong one sent to me, then the 2nd fell of the truck and CRACKED IN HALF (-20 outside)!! and the 3rd time I got to right one. I only ended up paying $850 (B16A2 from a 2000 Si-R II, tranny, axels, shiftlinkages, ecu, ac, ps, the works...) with overnight shipping from japan b/c they mess up my order so bad... and then I open it up and find like $900 worth over aftermarket parts!!!!

Hell of a deal if you ask me!!!!

I have had it for over a year now and I decide to rebuild it w/ turbo and zex.... hopin for 12-13's on slicks.... low on $$ right now so its all on chill for the time being...

So is your block stamped B16A or B16A2, if it's B16A2 it's a USDM block. $850 for a complete swap should have definately raised red flags about its legitimacy, and overnight shipping a swap from Japan to NY? lol

The whole setup was originally going to cost me $2500..... It took me over 3 months to get the engine from when I originally ordered it. The whole situation was really annoying, but b/c of the fact that I waited threw all the bullshit, he broke me a deal.

For all the trouble I went threw with his company, Elite Custom Auto, Gave me the option of either having the engine sent to a local garage and he was going to pay the mechanics to swap it in - Or - He would charge me $850 (much less then the original price to compensate for the whole dealy) and I would swap it in myself.

I was already planning on doing the swap myself, so I went for the price break instead. This was all legitamet, I have all recpiesce from the whole thing. I even was able to track it threw a company (LTL) the whole time. It ended up at my house the next day at exactly the time he said, 10am. I was amazed at the hell he had to go threw to get this done for me but he did.

James from Elite Custom Auto called me about 2 weeks after I fiannly recived the engine, he wanted to check up and make sure I got everything running alright.

All in all I made out well but I was something I would never want to deal with again.

You decide for you self but I know this was all legit.

yeah man i would check the block code
if it has a number designation it is a usdm because
jdm blocks do not have a specified block designation

hence jdm itr and gsr block codes are b18c
there is no b18c1 or b18c5 in jdm land
