what next? headwork or big bore?
Im wondering what i should do to take my car to the next level.. I still drive my car everywhere and i mean alot.. So it has to be streetable.. Should i just stick with my bottom end and go with a more aggressive head or should i just bore it out and put bigger piston in it.. I hear alot of good things about 84mm bore.. Lots of people are getting big numbers, Realisticly i want about 210whp.. Im sitting at about 180whp.. Whats my best route to go.. I dont want to spend more than $2000. I already have to much money invested..

i stil have a stock head and throttle body, no porting what so ever.. Do you think if i had it all port matched it would make any difference.. it wouldnt cost to much to send the head off im assuming.. All i have is a fields for tuning and fpr and cam gears.. I cant seem to get a straight answer from anyone on fuel pressure either.. Its set at 50psi right now with the line disconnected..let me know what your thoughts are for my setup.. I want to go faster without the bottle..
Yeah I'm running the fields VTEC/Fuel control also. But the question remains, Have you had your car tuned on the dyno? That is very important. The only difference I see form our setup is the headwork, OS valves and maybe some other little things that I am forgeting.
i took it to the dyno we have here but the quy who runs it only has experience with domestics.. He doesnt know where to begin with imports.. And the only thing he has to test your air fuel is one of the prongs you stick into your exhaust pipe.. Right now my cam gears are set at +2 intake +2 exhaust.. the vtec controller is at zero all the way around..
No wonder why you don't have any damn power. Let me get the settings off my Field and email them to you. How does your car idle once it's warm? and when do you have VTEC turning on? 50psi is about what I use also, so that should be fine. You need to get a throttle body (match port) to your ITR manifold. The JG matches perfectly and it is one of the cheaper TB's to buy, but it is good quality. As far as your Cam Gear setting I can tell you where mine are but I am running a little higher compression with my valves so it will differ. But your setting doesn't sound right anyway. You should have 185 hp no problem.
