Default what kind of b series

I went to the junk yard today and a guy told me he had a 94 accord b series motor. now i think it is a b18 and it is definitely vtec. where can i look on the engine to find out what it is exactly? im going back at 4:00 and i need to know.

well then he had it wrong in his computer. i saw the motor. he said it came out of a 94 accord. how can i check what motor it is?

94+ EX accords have an F-series block number, F20 or F22, forgot whic one it is, but its definitely an F-series SOHC block.

yea it's an SOHC motor. Like the F20B or F22B or something. IF it came out of an accord, there are NO accords with the "B" series motor that your looking for.

Literally stamped on the front of the motor will be the engine code. If it is not:
B16--JDM
B16A1--Cable tranny
B16A2
B16A3--Del sol

B18A--kinda sucky also but if you can get it cheap!!
B18B--LS motor, not sure on different models
B18C--JDM GSR
B18C1--GSR
B18C5--Type R


Then you pretty much don't wan it.


Take it from someone who did a swap, don't spend the cash, just get a turbo system and build up the **** out of your D series. Just my 50 cent.

tanks for the help. the junk yard said they will let it go for 500. i just have to find out what kind it is.
