Default what is a j1 transmission

today i went to a junkyard and bought and told the guy i needed a 92-93 gsr tranny and they gave me a j1 and i know a gsr is ys1 so can somebody tell me what is a j1 tranny and if they are good i saw the car it was bone stock and was a gsr

geared similar to the YS1, just harder to find parts for. What's your application? BTW, you need to buy a clutch for a 90-91 Integra.

fully built gsr engine used a y1 tranny before would it be the same as the y1 or better
