what intake manifold is best
I have a second gen jdm b16a and has the jap spec intake manifold. is the edelbrock victor intake manifold better then mine? i have an oppertunity to get one for $200 from a friend with all sensors ect. But my mechanic said mine is better. I figures you guys would know best so let me know.
i have a spare block im building and plan on adding a turbo say within the next year or so. I'm just wondering if the edelbrock intake would have better performance vs the jap spec manifold i currently have. Thanks for the replies, im new to hondas and more familiar with fords so any input is appreciated.

How do you expect anyone to even be able to tell you which is "the best", without stating what you want it to be the best at? No one can. Bother to define what you actually are looking for, and maybe you'll get a valid answer.
Though, honestly, if you could do such you would have. So I'll give you the best guess of an appropriate answer as you're likely to get. The stock "jap spec" manifold would be best.

Still not answering the question.

Like I said I AM NEW TO HONDAS, im asking what is better. If i knew i wouldnt be asking. I'm ready to say screw this forum and find something else. I've read several post and i see nothing but ignorant replies and smart *** comments. Really people show some respect.

I'm going to rephrase. What is it exactly, besides "more powa!", are you trying to get with this manifold?
If you;re going to continue to say "best" and "better" then start looking for another forum because we deal with hard tech here, not opinion polls.
Your question is pretty vague. "Better" doesn't tell us **** that you're looking for. Better for your wallet? Better looking in your engine bay? Better for making the engine louder? Better for more power up high? Down low? Better for causing power loss because you threw a component on your car that your ECU cannot account for?
If you're that new to Hondas (tired of hearing that from new people BTW) then perhaps you need to become more familiar with them prior to slapping parts on it when you have no idea how they work on it.

Everyone is actually trying to get u some straight answers, but u need to give some more info about ur build plans in order to determine which manifold is better suited for your setup...
Even though ur only asking about a intake manifold if ur hp plans and the rest of ur corresponding parts don't need the victor intake then u may actuall be better off with what u

i havent purchased the edelbrock intake i was just looking for some input about it vs my jap spec manifold that came with my engine. Im sorry for not knowing the right question to ask or how to ask it. I'm looking for more low end power/ quicker accel in the lower rpm range. The top end is already pretty good in terms of pulling hard and accel quickly at higher rpm. Would the edelbrock have better flow and be more responsive or not? I am learning quickly about my honda but it seems a have alot more to learn about these cars and engines. This is my daily driver by the way if that makes a difference.
I have a AEM cold air intake, 2.5" exhaust(cat-back) with a DC sports stainless header running on a chipped p28 ECU. Vtec engages at 4800 RPM and im not sure of the redline becuase i havent done it yet lol. beside that its a stock second gen jdm b16a.
