ok awesome! thanks guys..i figured it may have had something to do with the PS system, once the oil started coling out
so next question...can i take the metal hose off and rerun it with some sort of silicone hose or something. does it need to be in direct airflow? te reason why i ask is because i want to clean um that front grill area for my fluidyne thats on the way.....and no comments like "yeah take the Power Steering out" cause im leaving that in....

You are going to need to have metal piping.......the metal obsorbes the heat from the fluid and the transfers it to the air.
Now, if you were to get a small oil cooler from pepboys or something then sure, run silicon hoses to the new cooler instead of that cheesy single pipe. Another bonus is that they sell nylon mounting....things....to allow you to "stack" the coolers, so you can attach the new power steering cooler to the radiator.
