What the hell!
my car is acting really really weird. first off, i moved from albuquerque new mexico to phoenix arizona. there is a 4000ft altitude difference in the two. give or take. phoenix being lower. now i thought my ecu was freaking out at first due to that, but it hasn't got any better. now to the problem. i can start the car and drive under v-tech all day and have nothing happen, but as soon as i punch it and get into v-tech, it kinda does a glub glub kinda noise and v-tech kicks on and off until i get to 7000rpm and then the check engine light comes on and then no v-tech. there is also a noise coming from the engine bay sounding similar to when you have just thrown a belt. only when v-tech is engaged though. any other time there is nothing. i checked and i have all my belts. i have the following mods: intake, headers, exhaust, cams, pistons, pulleys, fuel rail, and 8mm plug wires. i have no idea what this is, and any help will be great. theanks
vtech is a PHONE
you have VTEC Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control.
now change your oil, it sounds like your oil level is low.
and why the **** would the altitude make your ecu spaz out?

yeah.......im a dumbass! didnt even realize i spelled it wrong. V-T-E-C! got it. most ecu's take a little time to adjust to altitude. especially when its a 4000ft difference. but you knew that.

As far as the ECU goes, you can take out the Back-up fuse in your engine bay fuse panel for 2 mins and it will reset the ECU. Then it will adjust to the altitude.

check for the code on the ECM, remove the carpet, and look thru the window on the box, count the number of LED flashes. long ones for decimal, short for singels example. two long ones, three short, pause, repeat, code 23 (just an example). then go here, type in "honda ecu codes". and look for the number. go from there after that.
good luck.
also after resetting the ECM, let the engine idle for about 5 mins to have the computer set it's parameters to new sensor readings.
