What is a good Dial Indicator/Guage?
I'm about to start on another rebuild and I need to buy my own Dial Indicator. What is a good brand and what should I be looking for as far as features?
So far I think I found one at Northerntool that's made by Central Tools and has some other accessories that comes with it for like 120 bux.

Just about every precision measuring tool came from Enco (a sub-company of MSC Direct).

I've never ordered anything from MSC Direct, but I like the Harley-Davidson safety glasses for $12.xx. I kinda want a pair...just can't justify the purchase enough.
Get a 2" travel indicator. You can't get far enough into the head with a 1", much less a 1/2" travel indicator.
I'm gonna switch to digital mic's and indicators if I continue to do the engine building BS. They're easier to use and zero out quicker, carry greater precision, and interconvert b/w metric and empirical units.
I think I ramble too much about stuff you guys probably don't need to hear.
