What to get for tune up
I am doing the first tune up o my car this weekend and i was wondering if you guys can tell me what i should get, where i should get it from. I Have a 98 Civic EX 2DR with 90K. I bought this car last yr with 72K and this is the first tune up since then.
plugs, wires, cap n rotor, pcv valve, timing belt, fuel filter, air filter (if not clean). Depending on if you willing on spending some extra money, the water pump too. What I did is buy it once w/ a lifetime warranty (I figured gonna buy it in the future so y not buy one now?) and have changed timing belt twice and changed water pump twice also!
If anything is left out I'm sure others will catch it.

oh yea, unles you are completely mechanically challenged. It's pretty simple to do yourself. The timing and water pump I would only do if you feel you are up to it or have done before. There are plenty of how-to's on timing belt replacement. But if you are not comfortable with it I would have someone else do it. Any legitimate shop should be fine.

OEM Hondaaa!

Yep, def stick with OEM Honda parts, especially ignition stuff.
Cap/Rotor/Plugs/Wires
Air filter/Fuel filter/Oil filter
Timing belt/Water pump/Valve lash (also replace valve cover gasket)
Upper and lower radiator hoses/Belts/Thermostat/Coolant flush and fill
O2 sensor if the original is still in there
PCV valve - though I don't really see them going bad, its a $5 part.
And get parts online: hondaautomotiveparts.com is what I use.
Do you know maintenance history of the car?
