I have always ran 91 octane in mine. My friend said that he runs 87 in his. I thought that you have to run 91 in these motors.

 

It says right in the owners manual! 91 minimum.

But the preludes knock sensor will accomodate 87 octane by retarding timing and making much less power. He can do it but his performance will suck. Not reommended at all
