Default What is a D16A1???

As said above, I cleaned my friend's new car off that he is selling soon and the DOHC Non-VTEC motor is a D16A1. Has anybody heard of this and is it normal? The car is a '89 Integra with the flip-up lights. Thanks for your help.

Yes its the OEM motor for that car. They did come in the older Integras.
