Default What is the correct gauge wire?

I'd like to find out what is the correct gauge wire to use from the battery to the isolator/kill switch and to the starter? I'm using a fairly thick cable now ( well huge is more like it heh ) but i checke don my Dads Dodge Neon, and its much thinner then mine.. what shud i use keeping in mind the car is a race car.

huge eh??? then you need a gigantic sized wire.

if you are running a kill switch for the entire car then use the same size wire as the original.

Okay i just wanted to know, just found it strange that on the Neon it used a much thinner cable...

at least 4 gauage. I use 4 gauage welding cable in my racecar.
