looking for a new coil and ignition setup, would a blaster ss coil with a 6a ignition be a good setup? im running a stock for now b16a. i need a new coil anyway and instead of buying a new stock one i just want to upgrade the ignintion whether its just a coil or get the 6a ignition at the same time.

your factory ignition is most likely more than fine for the car, but an external coil is never a really bad idea. i've been running a msd blaster2 or something like that for about 20,000 miles, with factory ignition, and its been very fine.......not a problem since i installed it over a year ago.

yeah but i need to replace the coil anyway, might as well upgrade now instead of later when i get my turbo.

 

well if you are going turbo get the msd BTW you will appreciate
this ignition later on down the road

i have used this ignition on drag cars and it has always
payed off in tuning ease and reliability
