I know what burning oil smells like, and I know what a burning clutch smells like. What else can be giving on this smell?? Thanks

yeah sounds like brake trouble to me... possibly a stuck caliper?? id find that REALLY quick

 

Naw, its not the e-brake, and I just took a shower so its not me or my upper lip. Must be something stuck in the brakes. Thanks guys

 

electrical? i have seen some odd cases with bad grounding and its definately a different smell...just a thought. good luck on finding it

 

true, i didnt think about that. hondas (mainly civics and integras) have some faults in the headlight switch, and it can cause a nasty-*** smell. do your headlights ever flash on and off??

 

No the lights do not flicker, but one of the bulbs is stuck in the clip or harness of whatever you wanna call it. So me being a total dumb a$$ sprayed WD40 in there. It didnt work, but the lights still work, so i guess it didnt do any harm. Could this smell be the WD40 burning??? haha, i feel dumb

 

hmmm............ well, burn some wd40 and find out what it smells like. (dont torch the house, though, the parents tend to get mad when the house burns down, if you still live with your parents. if you dont, BURN THAT MOTHER DOWN!)

 

Does it smell like burnt rubber ? Like a belt, just to be on the safe side check your timing belt. Make sure that is not rubbing.

 

Did you paint anything on your motor lately?My friend grabbed the wrong paint at kragen, and painted his exaust manifold cover(heat shield) and it smelled like ****. thought he had the high temp. paint i guess.

well, i replaced the light harness/clip whatever you wanna call it thingy that i sprayed the WD40 in, and I am not smelling anything anymore. But then again, its cold as ***** right now and im sick, so my nose might not be doing his job. Hopfully i found the solution. Thanks guys/girls
