Default What all is needed to run high compression on my GSR?

I was just wondering what all I had to changine within my motor in order to run high compression. I was going to swap out the factory pistons for something close to 12:1 but I didn't know if I needed to do any head work to keep things safe. My goal is to be able to rev to 9500 rpm. Any suggestions?

To gain high compression get higher compression pistons, thinner head gasket, and milling your head. Maybe a few others I can't think of now.

Compression has nothing to do with revving high. To rev to 9500 safely first you need to get a new ECU that allows you to rev that high, second you need a built valve train(valve springs and retainers) to avoid valve float.
