i drive a jeep grand cheerokee 5.9 and i have had no problems with it, its probably a low 15 sec quarter mile atleast stock. a lot more fun to drive around than most hondas stock. My dad has a 66 corvette that ran high 11's stock, on stock tires. he has a 72 plymouth duster that ran low 13's stock and a 64 corvette that ran low 13's stock.

No 66 would be close to 11 in stock trim, But in 1967, vettes could get a option for the L-88 engine (427, 12.5 c/r, AL heads). GM claimed the HP at 430, they dynoed around 560hp from the GM. In the a light weight chassis like the corvette, it would be fast. I do not know about 11s, but 12s for sure (remember, these cars came with polygras tires). The only vette/camaro that did 11s from GM is the ZL-1 vette/camaro. They would avg. high 11s on STOCK tires.

And I think there are LESS than 20 ZL-1 vettes AND camaros combined in the world.

for the corvettes, there was only 2 (released to the public, document, GM made more, but crashed them). 59 camaros were built.
If you dad has one, make sure that it is in the will that you get it

sorry, i just talked to my dad about his 66, it was balanced, has higher compression pistons, and some mild port work. they run mid 12's stock. but it is a very fast car, with very shitty tires.
