wet ephrom chip? still good or trash it?
Just wondering if u guys can help. I took my performance chip out of my p28...i left the jun chip in my drink holder in my car..i forgot i had it there and when i placed a styrofoam cup of water in there..the chip's pins punctured through and got the chip wet..partially soaked
..i dry it up immediately..you think it's ok..the chip looked like it's sealed up, even liquid can't penetrate through..would water contact anyways damage the chip??
I haven't put the chip back in the ecu to see if it still works. I'm afraid it can cause a ecu shortage or something.

Personally, I'd just throw it out considering the price of an EEPROM. I've thrown out many devices for less than that (ie - dropping a static sensitive chip on carpet). Alternatively, you could put it in a burner and do a test read from it and check the contents if you can.
