Welding bung onto Ceramic header. Yes or no?

Has anyone welded an additional O2 bung onto a ceramic coated header?

yes, but i heard some many storys about how they take them to some welder shop and come out all **** up.

Just make sure you clean off the area where you are going to weld the bung on. Take the ceramic coating off.

Thanks guys. I called a local exhaust shop and they quoted exactly what you guys state; can be done, but gotta clear the ceramic coat. This shop said they can do it for $20.
