weird suspension sounds
Ok, this is the problem. Whenever I go over bumps, the driver's side suspension makes a clanking sound that sounds like a bolt is loose or something. However, when I checked, everything was tight. I tried to see where the sounds were coming from and the only thing that make a slight sound was the drive axle when i tried to push it back and forth. So I have no idea what the hell is making the sound...any ideas?
I have H&R sport springs with 1.7 drop, with koni yellows. The springs are sitting on the lowest perch on the konis. I thought it was the shock bottoming out..but its not...because its not even that low...so i still have no idea!!
i don't know but my whole car squeeks whenever i am driving over a speedbump or anything raised, the front and back squeeks, and i sprayed every joint with Honda Silicone Grease
Not too sure, but it could be the top cap on the struts.
If the rear struts are removed sometimes paint that is the
color of the car will be evident on the cap.
I know the rears have a tendency to make a slight *klunk* when
the seal a the top gets worn or if the adhesive fails and the seal
slides out to a place where it is ineffective. It is not really a seal
but a squishy, almost foam ring that is glued to the top of the cap.
If it is loose, you can caulk it back in place. When dry, tighten the
everything back up on the car and go test it out.
I can think of what else it might be.

It could be the rubber piece under the cap on the front struts too right? Oh well, I'm going to take them apart and check it out one of these days. Thanks
