weird surges when driving
Hey guys I just swapped a b17 into my rex, and am experiencing some intermittent surges when driving (doesn't matter which gear). When I'm driving and have the car at a constant speed, it'll feel like it'll sputter and then surge as if the fuel is cutting off for a brief second. It'll do this through all the gears, and was wondering if any of you have experienced the same problem. My current setup just to make things clearer is b17a1, type-r intake manifold and throttle body, skunk2 cams, gears, retainers and springs, and genuine spoon pr3 ecu all non-obd.
Thanks

It sounds as though your igniter might be going bad. They seem to go bad often in B series distributors. Might want to give it a check, maybe your coil too. Hard to say without looking at it though.
Also check the throttle position sensor it could b going bad. surges like that could men that it is no redaing the position of the buterfly on the throttle body.
*Bad O2 Signal (which could be a number of things).
can result in drivability problems in between 1k - 4k rpm

you might also wanna check your map sensor, Ive heard a teg sensor works better w/ hybrid ef's. Im having the same problem and so is my freind, were just too damn lazy to replace the map sensor. try that along with the already mentioned remedies. ( a 90-93 teg)
