Arite guys. I just have a couple of questions.

I just recently changed my lower ball joint on the driver side up front and I went to test drive it. The weird thing is, I noticed that it felt like I was driving over small lumps. The best way to explain it is, it feels like there is a lump in one of the tires. I can't be for sure, but it seems to be coming from the front left (where I worked on the ball join.). I'm not saying that it's coming from there though cuz I wasn't really able to isolate the bumping feeling. One thing I can tell you is that it seems to be bumping in a consistant pattern, rather then being random. Picture a tire with a big lump in it, the slower u drive, the slower it bumps. and the faster u drive the faster it bumps, etc.

Has anyone ever had this problem before?

Okay now my next question is. What is a car trying to tell you when there are excessive amounts of smoke coming from the exhaust? It's white smoke and it puffs smoke when idle but it puffs a whole lot more when pressing the gas. It's about 35 outside when I was messing with it. I also did notice some moisture coming out of the exhaust.

 

COol. What is balancing tires and what does it do? Sorry i'm in the learning process so theres a bunch of stuff i'm still learning.

Oh yeah one thing to take note of is a few weeks ago I was test driving the car after completing a swap and then the entire front left of the car dropped to the ground and the wheel did a MAJOR butterfly. Luckily it was in front of my house when it happened but I guess the ball joint bolt was fucked up and it popped off, and the control arm popped out of place and screwed everything up. Everything is fixed now, but do you think it's possible that the tire may be deformed somehow from what happened?
