weird looking plugs (pics inside)
i pulled my plugs today since my car was miss firing somewhat and i found the plugs looked...strange. The ground strap is white but around the electrode its black. The engine is a B18A and the plugs are boshe platinum's why do they look like this?

ok ill try that, quick question with the safc, when it shows the correction of a neg. valve such as the -8 is it adding fuel of taking away fuel? im confused on this because i know it moddifies the map sensor signal and i didnt know if it ment it was reducing the signal voltage or actully the fuel itself
i pulled the plugs after driving the car around town a bit dont think i had any full throttle runs then. the plugs are what came in the car and iv plut 5K on the car, didnt pull plugs before i bought car so i dont know what they looked like before

Looks to me you are running a little lean a bit. The white powdery stuff is maybe the fuel additives. Also the black around the outside tells me your startup and idle are a little rich.
i/h/e, but like i said in a post b4 i didnt set these settings it was set, that is why i posted them, should i just set them all to 0? and also when the afc says a neg value is it taking away fuel or reducing map voltage?

or go one step colder, you could run a bkr6en11 stock # 5724. Stay away fron bosch plugs, they are garbage.

ok thanks for all the replies guys, im gonna put the car on the bottle so im thinking maybe 2 ranges colder but get a CD box to keep the plugs firing clean at low rpm's as well as higher ones
