Default Weird electrical issue.

Since I put the new engine in I havent been able to get it started. The electrical stuff has been acting weird, the starter doesnt go and today when trying it there was huge sparking in where my oil line touches my valve cover.

I have a 2 guage cable from the starter bolt and the stock ground from the valve cover.

Any suggestions?

The 2 guage cable is going from the starter bolt that goes into the tranny to the side of the engine bay (a hole where a hardline bracket was bolted down).

So you have something from the starter going to ground? That's not right. Anything that comes from the starter should go to the Positive on the battery.

I dont understand how it would be diff than grounding the tranny, starter bolt goes into tranny so shouldnt it all have the same effect?

You're talking about a big tranny ground (to chassis). You need both, along with a good ground from battery (-) to chassis...

Again, you have to be very specific about what you're describing.
