Background: Just dropped a fresh 2000 ls motor into my 94 integra and i had an old ecu that was from a automatic integra but was converted to 5 speed.

For some reason it made my car idle really high and rpms acted like i have a vaccum leak even tho i dont. So i bought another ls ecu that is 5 speed but now i am throwing a CEL for code 16 which is fuel injectors...but now the motor idles fine unlike with my other ecu.

so i put my old ecu back in and pulled the tps sensor to make sure that it throws codes..and it did. so it does throw codes but doesnt throw the same code as the supposedly legit 5 speed?

CLIFFS: Had a bad ecu that caused high idle. switched it to another ecu but now throws a CEL. Pulled the tps sensor on the bad ecu and it throws a CEL but doenst throw a code 16 like the supposed virgin 5 speed ecu. both are ls obd1. im stumped..

 

i vote stick with ecu number 2.. and make sure the injectors are wired correctly. just my opinion.

and if that doesnt work i guess pull the tps to make sure that ecu is working correctly also. Do you have any friends with an ls. Maybe you could try your ecu on their car to see what it does. idk, thats all i could really think of at 1 am

 

ya i will doublecheck. I already switched out my injectors for gsr ones and still the same thing on both ecu's i will try an find someone with a ls or possibly a 3rd ecu any other opinions?
