im getting 17 and 21 ....i got a 3 the other day as well but i believe it was a fluke cuz it hasnt returned but i constantly get a 17 and 21 as soon as i hit vtec...
my speedo works and it crosses over into vtec as well as pulls till 8k...its just that the damn CEL comes on and throws a 17 and 21 whenever i go into vtec...

the speedo cable is in there tightly and the speedo works without any issues...however since i have mix n matched harnesses nothing else on my cluster works except for the charge light and the headlights...since the speedometer is mechanical id like to know if there is something on the back of the cluster that detects if the cable is plugged in or not and since its not getting power to the cluster might not be detecting that it is in fact plugged in and in return throws a code?

as for the 21 that one puzzles me...i traced the wire back to the ECU and all the connections are nice and tight...i dont think that the solenoid went bad cuz vtec still crosses over and works fine... what else would cause a code 21 to apear?


im running a vafc and all the connections are hooked up right...however my car shakes a lot and am wondering if the shaking might cause the vafc to malfunction...i doubt it, but i thought id throw it out there
