Default water temp gauge install

i was wondering if it is possible to use the existing water temp sensor on the head with an aftermarket gauge and still have accuracy? Reason i ask is because my gauge didnt come with the sensor and it is suppose to. So i cant check the resistance between the stock and aftermarket sensor. anyone have an idea. i dont have a thermometer to check either. any insight would help. thanx

only if the aftermarket gauge is set to use the EXACT same range that the OEM sender puts out, which is not the case. You need the proper sending unit that gauge is looking for.
