Default Water in cylinders..

Pulled the plugs from my JDM ITR engine.. they were dripping water. No corrosion though. It was a little bit oily..

I read some old posts about this happening to people and about letting it dry out and burning off.

Has anyone had something go wrong because of this type of thing?

I didn't have a problem. I just pulled all the plugs and let it dry out a bit...Once I felt it wa sufficiently dry I started it with no problems. They wash motors and the water can get in as well as when the motor is sitting in a junkyard. Just let it dry out a bit and you will be fine. As long as the cylinders are not full of water.

Same thing happened to my friend. Bought a JDM B18C1 from jdmhondaparts and when he pulled the plug on chamber number four there was a mess of water and corrosion in there. He let the engine dry out and hasn't had any problems because of it. Good Luck

ahh good to hear. I pulled the plugs and cranked the engine a few times.

The plugs will be out for the week untill the engine goes in friday, so that's probably enought time to dry.

There wasn't any corrosion at all on the plugs, just a few drips.
