My sister is looking for a fairly new Jetta. I get her old civic, just a four door but my hatch is totaled so i need something. She found a 2000 jETTS, vr6, LEATHER INTERIOR, SOUND SYSTEM.....its nice. Only thing is she doesnt like the wood trim center console. Is that interchangeable at all with the regular panels?

 

Or maybe i could take out the wood trim and paint it black, any experience doing that?

 

she doesnt like the wood color, not wood itself.

 

it should be the same as the black plastic trims.

they are not real wood anyway, just plastic with wood like colour.

don't even bother to paint them, unless you have the time and willingness to take them out and paint them every 3month because they would chipped like the front bumper of my highway beater

if she aboslute can't stand the wood trims, tell her to get another car instead.
go to the junkyard or other jetta VW forum to "trade" for a black trim plastic

how much the jetta cost her? if you dont mind me asking
although i would never get a VW after those bad bad bad storie of the electrical problems from my friends

the wood trim, can be replaced. the jetta vr6 is a great car to begin with.

It's all interchangeable.

Besides, VW makes a nice aluminum dash kit, as well as carbon fiber. Or, just switch it out with the stock black...

Me, I prefer stock black. No bling-bling.
