Can you swap a d16y8 SOHC vtec head onto a d16y7 block? It seems like it is all the same except for one engine is vtec and one isn't.

 

i forgot to tell you that the d16y7 is a sohc also.

Are you sure it isnt a dohc d16y7........

Yes, you can do it.. Search for mini-me..

It's just smaller than dohc's i have seen

Sorry, I was making fun of you because your a noobie, its all good..

The d-series are all sohc except for the dohc zc engine..

Search for a post by bauleycivic with mini-me in the title, that will give you all the info you need to do a vtec head on a non-vtec block(mini-me)..
