Hey guys i got a 1999 Honda passport automatic and for some reason my VTEC has stopped working. it worked fine up until last week. how do I fix it? Thanks

 

Vtec not working on youre passport ..... LOL They never came with Vtec . And for the record its an Isuzu not a Honda .

 

Are you sure because it used to be fast but it seems like it got slower. i mean it still downshifts and everything butr its not that fast. Maybe some thing electrical got disconnected?

The passport was manufactured by Isuzu, not by Honda. A lot of cars are made by one company and stamped with another company's name. And I think your question is too broad. There's a lot of things that can cause reduced performance (a LOT). Without seeing your car or a report of specific symptoms, I don't think anyone is going to know what's going on with it.

 

I dunno because i looked at my engine at it doesnt say isuzu on it so I think that must mean it was manufactured by Honda or at least mine is?

 

Yeah, the geo trackers' engines didn't say suzuki, either, but it was. Some companies will keep it real, like with the Dodge Stealth, it has a mitsubushi stamp on the engine cover (because it's actually a 3000GT made by dodge).
