VTEC Problem
ok well Ive just recently put LS-VTEC together for my car and it was running great vtec sounded so loud then my head decided to seize (bought a shitty complete b16) so I went out and bought another b16 head. i noticed my block was warped duno how so i mechined that and preped everything for install.
I get the new head on and a bolt on my header where it meets the down pipe broke... the bottem half it still there the top isnt.. lol so i had a nice little exhuast leak for a bit... but now with this new head i dont hear my vtec.
I setup my vtec on a switch because i dont want to waste my time installing my ecu and it not working. So I set it all up ran it to the switch, and while driving... no vtec or well i cant hear it.
Everything is working fine i made sure that the solenoid is clicking when i flick the switch and it does.. so I have no idea why its not working, if anyone could give me a hand maybe someone knows somthing i dont.

wire it to your ecu. vtec switches are notorious for not working. also, does your car die in power when you hit vtec, or just not speed up much? Vtec cams die in power at high rpm's if vtec doesn't kick in. Also, when are you trying to x-over into vtec. If you do it too low (rpms) you won't hear it or feel a kick, if it works at all.

test oil pressure to vtec oil pressure port. hook up the gauge and give 12v t the sol.; make sure your revving higher than 3k.
pressure should be anyhting over 50psi.

tried the ecu still nothing, oil pressure is fine and i flick it on between 4200 and 5200, also it dosnt die in power it just not speeding up much.
with my old head vtec worked with the switch and it ran prefectly, i checked the solenoid, everthing is clean and fine, got prefect oil level changed it 200k after i put the head on.
Tonight it clicked in a couple times while driving i got to 170 in 3rd at 6k befor slowing down but then i tryed again and it didnt work.
