Default vtec not workking ppleease hhhheellllpppp!!!!!

o.k so i have a 97 civic hatch with a 94 gsr motor. i am using a 99-00 civic si ecu, but switching back to a 94 gsr as soon as i get my converter. but for now i get no vtec except for the first 2 days that i had the motor in the car. i have drained and changed the oil. i've reset the ecu by disconnecting the power. also i am getting a surge in my idle. very rarelywill i get a constant idle. put the motor surges up. when it is cold it surges from 2.o to 2.5 rpms until cold. it only happens when the car is at a solid stand still. can any one help me my mech is back in california. and i am stuck here in n.c. that's north cackalackie. could it be that the ecu is wrong for that motor? double butterflys on the gsr not on the si. also i have tested the vtec with a volt-meter.

It could be a number of things. Might I suggest checking the vtec solonoid, could be your wiring. Are you running any fmu's or piggybacks, I need more info. STock motor?? And on another note how are you running an si computer when its an obdII and you have a 94 gsr wiring harness (obdI). You using a skunk2 harness???

i could hear vtec come in when it did work now i hear nothing and the car is not near as fast as it was because the ecu is down grading the performance of the car because it is obdII right now.
Current codes that flash 14,22,41,54,65.
14 iacv(idle air control valve.- i bought a new one and stuck it on it is getting power but still no constant idle, only when i unplug it.
22 no vtec. silenoid has power.
41 o2 sensor.
actually i just looked the ecu is a p72
54 no crank angle sensor on a 94 gsr motor
65 o2 secondary sensor.

you do know that the pinouts are different for a gsr and an si ecu, right??? it may plug in, but it shouldnt work right. also, it could be the IACV, or, really, a number of things
