i just got done puting piston an rods on a use gsr motor. start it up an dont have any codes, but then drove it around an vtec is not working an i dont have a cel, anybody have this issue? need help asap...thanks

 

Check the oil level i guess, see if the solenoid is working,

 

what is happening when vtec is suppesed to be on? What is the car doing. is it puling to redline? your oil pressure must be low. clean the vtec solenoid screen. check your oil pan is not pushed up against your oil pick up. check oil level. did the motor warm up enough. Is your VSS working?

 

i'd double check your oil pressure.

oil level is good and i change the vtec solenoid an still nothing i am not geting a cel so i am stumped.

 

did you put the oil squiters back in? did you put the o-ring and dowel back in under the middle cam cap? Are you lower end bearing clearances too large?
