vtec light???
yes its possible. just make sure you have it in series with a resistor so the LED doesnt drain all the voltage from the VTEC solenoid. Otherwise you get the light but no vtec. boo!
its kinda funny that you posted this, i actually saw a vtec light on ebay, it says vtec on it and goes in ek civic in the dash in one of the oval spots on the guage cluster blue and red and probably more colors says it will increase your 1/4 times, lol so funny, look it up if you really feel the need for a rice mod.

Yes...its easy...run a wire from vtec solenoid to the 12v LED (which draws hardly and current and will not cause the vtec solenoid to malfunction) and run a ground from the LED to the chassis. All done. Search here and you will find exact directions.
I got a green LED from Radio Shack that cost like $2 and some wire I had laying around...wired it up and put the LED behind one of the spare ovals on my cluster and it's been working fine for about 3 years. If my vtec solenoid ever does stop working I will know.

You don't have to buy the new version for that...on the current one in monitoring mode you can turn on Vti, that's the signal from the ECU to the VTEC solenoid, and the V-AFC will say "off" or "on."
I used these but I think it might be better to wire to the vtec solenoid rather than the ecu. I did the ecu and it's not working. I'm going to just hook it up to the solenoid. Here you go buddy:

what difference does it make. are you not splicing into the same wire?

It shouldn't make a difference, it's the same wire. I did mine near the ecu and ran the led into my cluster and it has been working perfectly for about 2 years.

Yes, if you go by the spot and not the color of the wire. I forgot if obd2 or obd0 changes the vtec wire once it runs into the fire wall. It changed to orang, so don't always go by just the color.

LOL...good point...
If your not sure about the color of the wire...look at the wire going to the solenoid...it's exactly the same wire...it goes directly to the ECU.
Or you can go to the online instruction manual for the VAFC and find the exact pin location for your ECU. I know there are assloads of places to get this info but this one is easy.
Look at pages 16 and 17 of the pdf... http://www.apexi-usa.com/produ...c.pdf
