Default vtec help

does the oil pressure switch have too be plugged in the one on the block in order for the vtec too work because i am getting a code 21 not the vtec oil pressure switch. vtec works untill my check engine light comes on

code 21 is the code for a faulty VTEC solenoid.

Remove the VTEC solenoid and clean the oil screen out thoroughly (brake cleaner perhaps). If the rubber gasket surrounding the screen is dry/cracking, you will need to replace it completely (not too much $$$). Good luck!!

hrmm..
what ECU are you running?

your statement is unclear.....
you should have everything plugged in on the vtec solenoid (green plug & grey plug) in order for VTEC to work (along with the VSS & coolant temp sensor)..
