Default vtec engagement problems.

I'm having problems getting the vtec to engage.

I've got a vi-pec ecu so rpm is the only trigger.

I've checked the oil pressure, (the oil press. switch is still there just not hooked up it indicates pressure at the head.)

I've checked the solenoide valve. (it is clicking when powered, I haven't actualy checked that it opens for the oil)

I've checked that the solenoide works when it's connected to the ecu. (just used tps signal for triggering, and heard it clicking)

The sliding valve inside the assembly moves freely.

The screens are not clogged.

Is there anything after the solenoide that has been known to cloog up and prevent vtec fom engaging?

Engine is a d16z6, bisimoto cams, other than that nothing special, same parts before and after reuild. vtec worked fine before.

thanks.

i'm trying a new vtec solenoide assembly, but i could not find anything wrong with the olde one so, hoping it will work but not expecting a fix.
